Hi all 08bitkid here! So I've got into watching speed runs of games on twitch and watch a lot and have been inspired by my fave runners to give it a go! Only problem is I don't know where to start in terms of setting up the hardware and software and even what I need etc! I will most of the time be using either old consoles (ps1, snes) or Xbox one. I've been thinking about games I love and will be able to give a shot at and come up with a few, going through motions on playing them again, re familiarising myself with them and seeing which ones are most viable. So yeah just wanted to introduce myself and see if I can seek out some advice from you guys! Cheers!

When I started speedrunning, I just found the games I loved as a kid and started giving them a go! I'd suggest you look at the specific pages on the games you plan on running here at speedrun.com. Just search up any game you'd like in the search bar! Then, purchase any hardware or software accordingly :)
