Greetings fellow Speedrunners :)

My name is Philipp, I'm 31 Years old, and I got hooked on Speedrunning since I've watched the NES Marathon this Weekend. For all of my Life I've playing Games, most of them I didn't even finished because I have waaaay to many Games (my Steam Library is at about 260 Games xD). I mostly love playing Retro RPGs like Secret of Mana, Lufia and stuff. Yesterday, I thought a lot about what Game I should start with, and in the end, my decision ended to be Pokemon Red/Blue Any% Glitchless.

My Aim in Speedrunning is the following: Whenever I do a Speedrun of a Game, my target is to do it in the following way: Any% GLITCHLESS. I'm not a big Fan of Glitches, I know, there are some unavoidable Glitches, which I may have to do, to do a proper Speedrun, but mostly I'll try to avoid these.

In the next few Days I'll setup my Twitch Page, it's a bit outdated atm. Next Step would be, to do a casual run of Pokemon Blue :)

See ya soon and sorry for my bad English :)

Hey,

I have to start somewhere :) I love Pokémon and Red was my first Pokémon Game ever. I've played it originally after it got released on my Gameboy :D I know, that most Pokémon Games are real hard in terms of Luck :D But hey, maybe I get lucky with it xD and I am more the kind of person to have bad Luck in such Games and get over it, than having to do the same Jump over and over again till it gets frustrating because I don't hit the right frame xD

Pleasure to see more people becoming interested in this fun way of exploring games and having a more fun with how they are played. <3 Dedication and the passion for the games well all play is what drives for success enjoy it and always have fun. Casual running of a game to test things and better hone your understanding of mechanics and controls are always a great way to get better with it, as well as practicing sections of the game for those lengthier game runs some of us do as well. Keep in mind as well some things people can or do execute in runs can be glitches or just tricks/mechanic abuse. Keeping on top of what the games community considers as a glitch (normally game breaking) and tricks/mechanic abuse will help allot when it comes down to understanding the possible different categories of runs there possible could be.

Anyways Good Luck, and remember that the number ONE thing is to HAVE FUN PLAYING games YOU LOVE! <3
