I have notice a trend where older games have newer hardware that run it faster. For example

PS1 with PS2 FDS PS2 with Old Model PS3 N64 with WiiUVC GCN with Wii

So is there something similar for Saturn games?

Probably only Saturn games that got a Virtual Console/XBLA release or something similar, and those are escapingly few.
