Much of these strats are optimized, though there may be some small routing optimizations. A known optimization exists in Inca 3 (collect the red gem) that saves approximately 23 seconds over the route of the TAS. From the first screen, go across the platforms as normal until you reach the top left corner of the screen. Bash or running-jump through the wall there, and go up. Go right across the platforms and head up to the top exit of this screen. Go through the top exit, and you are now in the room with the bees and red gem. Defeat the bees, and collect the gem.

Note that not all of these strats are feasible in a non-TAS run. The TAS is, however, meant to provide some insight into the capabilities of this game.
