hi, if anyone is interested in running a coop map, me&sebban made a discord where you can ask pretty much anything (how certain tricks work etc.) and you'll get an answer. we are pretty passionate about these speedruns even though there isn't a huge community and we are always looking for new members (:

hi, I used to struggle with this a few months back as well and I fixed it by making sure I'm at the door really quickly after the last grunt dies (basically you wanna be shooting the scientist right after the grunt dies), you can even try using a normal handgrenade to kill him so that when it explodes you're already standing by the door other thing to look for is if you're shooting at the right spot in the door and not headshotting him also, always use mouse2 and just tap it cuz holding it any longer will kill him; I lower fps right after I shoot but idk if that really even does anything

if you don't know how the tricks work, you're probably gonna have to watch the old tutorial to learn them and then apply them to the new route

Since the 1.6.0 patch, after you complete a level the end screen shows your time which will be the new way to time individual levels. (hopefully this might attract more runners as you no longer need to worry about timing your run perfectly yourself :) )

The end doesn't show milliseconds so all the runs that were posted before this patch will have the milliseconds removed.

Tutorial timing stays the same as there is no end screen.

On PC you have to aim and click instead of pressing a button, so you can't purposely miss even if you wanted to. On console it might save some time, but I'm pretty sure you take damage from missing so you can maybe only miss once or twice before dying - maybe Sheldor can chip in with some info since he knows the console version pretty well

The console versions are almost identical to the PC one so yes, the OoB's should work on console. So far there's only two OoB's used in the run, 1 in Sink Hole and 1 in Shanty Town.

Sink Hole saves around a minute and a half on PC, but potentially more on console as you will avoid two fighting sections which you probably can't just run past on console. The issue with Sink Hole is that there's a helicopter shooting at you and it can very easily kill you if you're too slow. The way to avoid that is you either continue through the level the normal way until the next objective updates and the helicopter goes away and then you backtrack to the OoB spot, or you just yolo it and hope that you don't die.

Shanty Town OoB skips pretty much the entire level and saves at least 3-4 minutes.

you just have to write bxt_autorecord at the start of your run, that isn't too difficult to set up I understand where youre coming from but its really easy to cheat in this game and they have to take precautions

Thanks, removing variables fixed it :) even tho it kinda sucks to not have variables because as soon as I add one the runs are gone
