get a walking start for one. Aim for where it dips down. Then hover when you're close. Good luck.

Could be because you're up to close to it when you hover which makes you lose momentum. Could also be your angle.

I just watched your past broadcast. You're having trouble with the double jump timing, right? Well, the input timings are a bit different for walking double jumps. You can get there with a standing still double jump, though so I would say that if you're not comfortable with walking double jumps yet then just do a normal one.

Go to Crystal Glacier and keep trying the first jump over the chasm over and over until you get it. It's a fairly tight jump but not the hardest in the game whatsoever. If you can do that jump you can do most.

I think you need to enable global hotkeys, maybe? I'm not 100% sure what the problem is but that might be what you're looking for.
