More information on the strategy and reflections below in the description !

For those who would say that speedrunning a tower defence is pointless. The previous world record was 7:19.500. There's always room for optimisation. The strategy here, which can be reproduced, is as follows :

  • Place the troops far enough away so that they can attack for the most part with spears, which do far more damage and moving the hero back at the end so that the troops can be targeted by the gunners saves a few seconds at the end.

  • Save a fireball for last, to finish as quickly as possible. What's more, it needs to be positioned in such a way that the last troops pass over the embers left by the spell.

I thought that the passage time of the first waves, apart from the last, was of little or no importance. This run proves it. This is not true. The previous world record of 7:19.500 (On the PC version) was held by parriedswish at around 6:19.000, while my last wave appeared at around 6:00.000. Which makes a huge change.

Also, the use of Ten'shi is much more relevant than Elora, which slows down the troops and wastes time as you go along (at least on this type of map). Among other things, parriedswish placed buildings all over the place. In the end, all you need is two well-placed buildings, which makes for maximum improvements. I think we can easily scrape 2/3s.
