So I recently found out you can actually have a look of the Fortnox Arena where ESA 2016 is going to be held this year.

Can anyone tell me where the room of the live stream is going to be? It's so cool to see the view of the arena.
Is there going to be a new Twitch channel this year? The old one has been taken down
Ok. Then I will book a train before I go. Thanks for the advice people. in addition to this, for the ESA organisers, I will be bringing my own psychical copy of Abe's Oddysee PC before my run starts on the day when I arrive (26/07/) so it can be installed and set up with Motionjoy before my run starts. The computer will need to be restarted into disable driver signing management mode (F8 key at startup) so Windows can recognise the Motionjoy drivers for my controller to work in-game.
For the travelling side of things, I have booked my train to the airport, my flights to Copenhagen and a hotel in Vaxjo. My mum who is travelling with me is not so sure about booking the train from Copenhagen Airport to Vaxjo station in advance or buying a ticket at the station. Our flight arrives at Copenhagen around 16:30 and we won't have any suitcases, just carry on bags. The earliest train we can get is the 17:08.
Just registered for ESA 2016 and got my tickets! I am really looking forward to running Abe's Oddysee there! I will be there on 26th for one day and will be looking forward to people watching me on the stream!
That 17:34 time slot for Abe's Oddysee on 26/7 looks perfect. Can't wait to fly out to Copenhagen and taking to train to Växjö!
Yay! Abe's Oddysee made it. Looking forward to running that game there.
I just got an 11:12 fpr Abe's Oddysse any%. Since I can do the backwards jump more often now, it is safe to lower my estimate down to 14:00 since I'll be running on the PC version.
It would be great for those who are filling in the schedule for my Abe run to take place during mid-week. If my run makes the schedule I am planning to go for 2 days and come back on a Wednesday or Thursday. Looking forward to the final schedule. Have been practising a lot lately.
Yes! Abe's Oddysee has made it. Now time to practise. I got a lot of Uni work to finish first though.
Just a note for the Abe's Oddysee PC submission, I will need to use my Dualshock 3 Controller so Motionjoy will ned to be installed on the gaming PC to make the control work.
Should I register before my submissions make it to the second cut or before? I am only going to be registering if my Abe runs make it to the final cut.
Stawrin who is still the world record holder for any% glitchless has got an accept on Summer Games Done Quick. It's nice to see different categories being ran at different venues.
Update: My game passed the first cut. I am in the survivors area.
Do runners need to buy a ticket?
I like speed running Oddworld games because it's a game that I have played since I was about 4 years old and all these years playing AO and AE make me good at speedrunning Oddworld.
I've been speedrunning any% glitchless latley and got a 1:10 in-game and 1:!5 RTA.
It will be interesting when new screenshots and gameplay comes along.
So today Oddworld announced a new game called Oddworld: Soulstorm. Oddworld will be speaking with Kindafunnygames later this week to talk more about the game. It's being developed by 2 internal Oddworld teams and a team in Qubec. I'm looking forward to seeing some footage of the game. It's going to be a retale of Abe's Exoddus.
Update: A further announcement will be made in the Fall.
Update: ESA 2016 is a few months away and the first cut of submissions will be announced on March 20th. So in the meantime, I have decided I will be working on any% glitchless for a while until I get a decent time. Twitch.tv/samtastic95 is my new Twitch account.
