So you want to learn to speedrun SSSV? First of all, welcome! Thanks for giving this wonderful game a shot. To make learning this game easier, a list of individual level (IL) guides are listed in the guides section. These IL guides describe the routes for each level in the game and give some helpful comments on how to do certain difficult parts well. Hopefully you find them useful. Outside of the IL guides, you can ask questions on the forums, on the SSSV discord (ask for an invite), or on peoples' streams. We're not the most active community, so forgive us if we don't get back to you quickly.

In addition to the IL guides, Mcill and Crackerbean have both made full game tutorial videos in the past (Mcill's is even on the list of guides), but these are old and outdated. It's a lot of work to make a quality full-game guide that stays up to date, which is part of the reason the IL guide format is being used here.

One thing to note is that emulators are currently hidden on the leaderboards. Furthermore, emulated runs cannot hold first place on the leaderboards. Emulators have distinct advantages over the N64 by substantially reducing lag.
