is there any chance that this will also cross over into ILs?
i don't think anyone actually does ILs on VC (i've done a few shitty ones but i couldn't actually name anyone who does them proper), so it's not really that big a priority, but it's still worth asking
check out the thug2 speedrun.com page:

just replace (story, story all goals, classic... etc) with the star count categories, and (easy, normal, sick) with the console. bam, easily separated versions, almost like how marioruns did it, except this subdivides the versions into the categories, rather than the categories into the versions.
i'm surprised that wii u VC is slower than JP n64 for all categories, even though you said in its description that it's faster than n64. could you elaborate on why that is?
also was HSWK patched out in shindou? if not, technically 1 star is still possible on them :)
consolidation of leaderboard websites
@SpaceMiner i will never, ever expect for all of the platforms to be combined. that's what i, optimally, would want, but that'll never happen.
what i'm asking is why we can't just go back to doing it like this, cause that was a very good compromise.
i'll concede if you can give me one good reason why you can't just either show them or have separate categories for them, which, again, is how marioruns did it.
there's absolutely no reason why speedrun.com can't do it exactly the same way marioruns did it for years (different categories for different platforms) unless you guys have some stupid petty thing against it, which i absolutely know you do.
this wasn't happening on marioruns. why here?
and no, i haven't been around long enough to know why n64 is the "standard version" (a stupid concept in itself) - only long enough to know why you think it should be. the OoT community is so smart about this, why can't yall be?
why the fuck is VC filtered out by default, i couldn't think of many stupider ways to do the console organization
just throwing in my opinion as a triple z-list runner, i don't see the harm in allowing no video for lower-rank runs
i got an 18:46 recently, for which i wasn't recording video because my capture card's cable splitter hadn't come in yet. however, i submitted the time anyway, just to have my profile up to date, but it was rejected.
i don't think anyone has to worry about cheating past like, 16 minutes, maybe 17. if you lie about like, 100th place, you're a fucking loser.
yes @speedrunner123, which is why they should be a different category, but not just completely banned. i can get banning emu, cause that's pretty easy to cheat, but banning VC doesn't make any sense to me.
why not have separate categories for VC and emu, instead of banning them outright?
i agree with all of those categories
there's also 30 star but that's getting into the hyper-arbitrary category area
@Token yes, i did mean neverball. i want to add an individual level table to it, as well as fixing the categories a bit.
could i be a mod of the game "Neverputt"? i'd like to add an individual levels leaderboard.
i have never heard of anyone running 50 star before
but 45 would be cool, cause right now all i have to use as a comparison for my runs is some japanese leaderboard site i can barely navigate
also: i set up some ILs for tony hawk's pro skater 4, but they're not showing up on the game page. anyone know what's up?
