Duplicating ammo... At first glance a trick that won't save time but it doesn't waste time either. Fighting enemies in this game can go really chaotic at times, wasting precious time. The best way to counter enemies is shooting them with guns, but ammo for these guns is either hidden or not along the path that we speedrunners take, which results losing time if you go and gather ammo. This is where this trick comes in.

Sorry for this introduction just something that came to my mind while writing this guide. Let's jump into how to do the glitch

First: You have to be exiting a level that does not end with a lever pull or opening a door. The level has to end simply by walking through the exit. (levels are listed below)

Second: You have to have ammo for one of the following guns: revolver, luger, Mauser, shotgun, MP-40 smg, speargun. This is how it looks in game 6/0, the first digit is how much bullets are loaded in the gun, the second digit is how much you have left. In this case 6/0 you can't duplicate ammo, you have to have more ammo so you can reload.

Third: After choosing the level you can do the glitch in, you have to reload the gun while the cutscene is playing, to do it press "R" while exiting the level. In case you are reloading a weapon with a longer animation wait for the cutscene until you reload it. For example you have 14/64, after doing the glitch you'll have 32/64 in the next level. This is how the glitch works, refilling the gun without taking bullets from your savings.

!!!NOTE!!! You can duplicate ammo for only one gun at a time. Some chapters share ammo, health, medkits, water and other items when you transition between them. This means that you can duplicate ammo between the final level of a chapter and the first of the next chapter. These chapters are: Peng Lai Lagoon - Peng Lai Mountains Black Dragon Fortress - the Temple of Kong Tien the Emperor's Tomb - the Netherworld

This is how chapter names are shortened: C - Ceylon
P - Prague
I - Istanbul
HK - Hong Kong
PLL - Peng Lai Lagoon
PLM - Peng Lai Mountains
BDF - Black Dragon Fortress
TKT - Temple of Kong Tien
ET - the Emperor's Tomb
N - the Netherworld

Levels you can duplicate ammo in: (Also the number before the dash is the level you are in and the number after the dash is the level you are going to).

C1 - C2 You can't duplicate here. C2 - C3 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. C3 - C4 At the end of Ceylon 3 a guy with a revolver will show up when you go to pick the bomb. Get his revolver and do the glitch, even if you have 6/0 then get the revolver because it will help in the next level. C4 - C5 In this level you need to kill 3 dudes with 6 revolver shots. One of them has a revolver pick it up but DO NOT RELOAD IT. The ammo from the revolver from Ceylon 3 will be reloaded automatically and then pick the new revolver. This will result something like this 2/1 or something similar. After you did all this the only thing that’s left is to do the glitch at the end of the level. !!!NOTE!!! You will need at least 4 bullets so if the total count of the Ceylon 3 revolver and the revolver from this level bring to 4 you don’t need to do the glitch. C5 - C6 You can't duplicate here. C6 - C7 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. C7 - C8 This is the last place you need ammo in Ceylon. In the section were you have to climb a vine to get to the lever lowering the cage, just before you start climbing there are two guys that can knock you over so just use the rest of your bullets. This way you no longer have to rely on RNG to get quickly through this section. There is no need to duplicate in this level, but you can. C8 - C9 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can.

I didn’t find a use of duplicating ammo in Prague because you are skipping most of the fights, but still the list of levels you can and can’t duplicate in: P1 - P2 You can't duplicate here. P2 - P3 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. P3 - P4 You can't duplicate here. P4 - P5 You can't duplicate here. P5 - P6 You can't duplicate here. P6 - P7 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. P7 - P8 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. P8 - P9 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. P9 - P10 You can't duplicate here. P10 - P11 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. P11 - P12 You can't duplicate here. P12 - P13 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can.

I1 - I2 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. I2 - I3 Dub the MP-40 you'll need more ammo in Istanbul 3 I3 - I4 You can't duplicate here. I4 - I5 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. I5 - I6 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. I6 - I7 You can't duplicate here.

HK1 - HK2 There is no need to duplicate here, but you can. HK2 - HK3 The next level is the auto scroller so even if you duplicate you won’t get ammo in the next level. HK3 - HK4 Do I have to say anything.

PLL1 - PLL2 You can't duplicate here. PLL2 - PLL3 You can't duplicate here. PLL3 - PLL4 You can't duplicate here. PLL4 - PLL5 Duplicate the Mauser if you have ammo for it. PLL5 - PLM1 Duplicate the Mauser or the MP-40 if you have ammo for one of them. PLM1 - PLM2 You can't duplicate here. PLM2 - PLM3 Duplicate the Mauser or the MP-40 if you have ammo for one of them. PLM3 - PLM4 Duplicate the Mauser or the MP-40 if you have ammo for one of them. PLM4 - PLM5 You can't duplicate here.

All the levels in Black Dragon Fortress, Temple of Kong Tien, the Emperor’s Tomb and the Netherworld have no weapons that can be duplicated or not enough ammo to do so, that’s why they are not listed here.

This list and the glitch are allowed in all current categories: Any%, All Artifacts and a chapter from the game.
