Yeah, it happens when you get on a ledge that's exactly the same height as your jump height. You gotta use a ladder, fall off, or double jump with a feather to break out of it. They fixed that in later patches, but, you know, those are slow.
This is a very old glitch, and it's actually the only reason we don't use IGT for runs. I don't approve of any of the other silly excuses for why it's "unreliable", but this one is major.
Here's my WR in IGT% :D
It sounds like it does save your death counter somewhere. But I wouldn't know where to look for it. I don't think it's reasonable to expect a full game wipe and reinstall for every 100% attempt, so if you get any useful remnants after deleting your save.ini, feel free to abuse them :P
Is fair enough. Sorry for the trouble, and good luck :)
Apologies for the short notice.
I most likely won't be able to make it to ESA. My brother is graduating on the 3rd of July, and traveling back and forth to attend both is just not feasible for me. So I'll have to retract Transistor and Alien Swarm from the event.
Hope you can fit equally cool games in their stead and a less lame person in mine.
(If possible, I'd like my mass housing payment refunded.)
Transistor Incentive: Show the Magic Button The magic button is an inexplicable interactible object, put out of bounds, that does some weird things. Would only require me to have a nearby save file prepared, and a minute or two of explanation.
Alien Swarm Incentive: Demonstrate a Brutal level I'd like to showcase just how difficult Brutal is, by showing off the most difficult IL (specifically SynTek Residential). Probably 5 to 7 minutes of attempts before I would give up.
No one really competes for any other difficulties. Hardest is the most challenging, Easiest has some really quick levels, I don't think there's any case where one of the medium difficulties is the fastest.
Paid for housing.
Paiderino frappuchino.
The monk glitch seems to still work on HD. Don't know about any other glitches.
Unless there's a practical reason to rule out glitches, they should be allowed. Age of Empires 1 fully allows the two glitches it has already.
Practical reasons to rule it out would depend on the availability of the version where these glitches are available, or any other practical reasons why that version wouldn't be preferred. Any glitches that are still in the latest version or in HD, should always be allowed.
