There was barely a difference in the attack power of three types of proximity weapons, however it got fixed in HD Collection.

** Defects in offense Heart - Quick Heart fix** Offense Heart had no effect on the attack power increase. Instead there was an issue with Quick Heart which raises speed and agility. In addition to the effect of further increasing the attack power (That should belong to Offense Heart). Meaning, PS2 version had an ability where you conserve DT with offense heart, but now its impossible since HD collection fixed it. JP - NTSC-J

  • Complete version of the game. Background music still plays even if you pause.
  • Dante: Laevateinn, Dooms Day, Lucia: Divine Anger technique can be used continuously.
  • Swords damage and Offence Heart are deflected.
  • Cannot access unlimited DT/Super costume

EU - PAL Has unlimited DT access aka Super costume. There is a code that you get to use after you beat Dante/Lucia Must Die. You know the code will work if your save has the gold Icon. Keep in mind that this must be done separately for The Dante and Lucia campaigns.

100% save file - In case if you don't really want to play-through each difficulty

When you select a mission hold both triggers for Xbox / L2+R2 for duelshock /Q+E for keyboard. The catch is this only works on PAL versions of DMC2 for whatever reason. In order to use the code in this collection you need to change the games language to a European one to get it to load the PAL version of the game, French worked for me.

Like most PAL games EU has an option of selecting Video mode between 60Hz and 50Hz

  • You can select languages between English, Français, Dutch, Español and Italiano.
