This run went pretty well. Some good RNG and some not so good, but at least the bots didn't sit in jail all game.
Some strats I used for this run:
- Bots will always desire a second/third of a property set if they haven't had a double/triple yet.
- Bots will be wary to trade you properties that give you a second/third card for a property set.
- Trading to give a bot a complete property set for everything else they own means they can't build houses, buy properties, or pay rent without mortgaging the three properties.
- It almost feels like animation sound lags my game, so I turned it off. Maybe game music does too, but I like listening to something at least.
As you can see in the video, I trade an orange (to give thimble a double orange) for a magenta (to get a double magenta) and a little money. I'm giving them a better double so they like it, but since I am receiving a double in return, I have to be wary not to ask for too much. Then I trade the two magentas to canon for all their money. For the rest of the game, canon is useless.
Later in the run I trade an orange for two teals. I might've been able to ask for everything else they had but I wasn't sure, since I was receiving two properties to complete a set. Either way, I know that I can plant hotels with the money I have and that they can't build much on them. I basically own the only properties with large rents.
One thing I undervalued is receiving properties in trades even if I didn't care about them. It acts as extra money the bots can use when they mortgage their properties.
