Saw a run submission played on a real PS2 saying that load times are faster on emulators, and it seems like they are. Even though I play on emulator, I do think that we should split up the leaderboards to make it fair for everyone. Thoughts?

if it seems like its significant enough to effect the results, id say so even though i havent done the math for specifics. i certainly remember playing off the disc and it did not load as quickly as on an emulator...

This. I've always been for including emulators and keeping speedgames accessible. And I do think splitting emu uselessly is dumb (it just fractions boards that already aren't super active). But if they're faster than console they shouldn't even be on the same board.

I see two ways to go about it: A ) If there's an emulator that's good enough, but not faster, just allow it. You can ban those that are slower. B ) Split it into a sub-category. People can compete on unstable unofficial emu if they feel like it without affecting more "legit" runs. C ) Do both.
