This is obviously most easily achieved if you never go to Iki when setting up your savefile, or if running on the original release of Ghost of Tsushima. But for clarity's sake, this is what "no DLC" means. You must not use any of the following.

• The free technique point granted with either the Digital Deluxe Edition of the original game, or the Directors Cut

• The Hero of Tsushima Armour (You may use the Digital Deluxe horse since it is purely cosmetic)

• Horse Charge (having it unlocked is technically fine, but you must not use it)

• Horse Armour

• Saddlebags

• Sarugami Armour

• Passive regeneration of your first 2 Resolve
