The grind has been real. And that was just to finish an actual run. Canyon of death, god jump, that damn alien in Lost Land, eaten inputs, bad luck, Mantis and general imcompetence were all conspiring against me over the last week. This was the final run of the night and after such failures in the hours and days before I wasn't expecting to finish, but I was going to have fun trying. Having a more consistent Mantis setup (if only I'd listened to Bennity) is the real clincher. Instead of half my runs dying at level 5 I can now have half my runs die at level 6; perfect. I was trying to get close to 40minutes, but sniping the World Record was definitely unexpected. There's some sloppy movement overall, some bad body blocking - I'm looking at you Terry Crewes - but no major screw ups this time. Longhunter was slow just because of how I bled off my health with the jeep. Mantis was pretty good, although I could have taken less damage. Thunder only got the one nip in, but that didn't slow my stabbings. Campaigner got a bit jumpy and my health was getting worrying low towards the end. Highlights include: A really nice reset wall - this doesn't often happen for me. Lightning reactions to avoid falling to my death on Treetop Village. That annoying hum on my microphone.
