This is just a casual speedrun of the game, and so I didn't bother using any of the hardcore speedrun strats for the Any% category of the NSMBDS speedrun. I tried making it as marathon-safe as possible through the strategy of maintaining Fire/Turtle Mario with a Fire Flower in reserve in case I messed up. Which I did quite a lot.

In fact, I managed to gain and then lose the Blue Shell four times during this run, with a Mega Mushroom encounter in W5-3.

Other time losses include deaths on W5-3 and W1-Tower, my un-optimized item-reserve thing, getting fireworks on W5-3, my terrible performance at W8-Tower2.

But hey, it's a pretty decent "first any% attempt" speedrun.
