I am new to both speed-running and ff1. However, I have played many other games in the FF series. I will be playing on the psp emulator. Any tips on how I should should start out? Would it be ideal to just play through the game first? This is also an excuse for me to get into the community.

Play through the game first and then watch a tutorial. After that you can start doing segmented runs of the game. Ex. being lich or earth crystal run, and so on. The psp speedrun is really easy to get into but hard grinding a good time.

First speed-run was awful. It took me 2:58:02. But I made a navigation mistakes. I also forgot to save before any of the bosses in the chaos shrine and then died to chaos and had to replay through them all. On a side note, does anyone have an autosplit for the live split app?
