Understanding the route:

There are 5 white keys in this dungeon but only 2 of them are actually necessary to complete the dungeon as the boss room (28) is inaccessable without them. Unlike in Tori where time is saved by not travelling in the overworld, Deeso is actually done faster by doing the exact opposite.

Reasons for this being the case:

  1. Odd placement of the white keys.

  2. The heavy time sink associated with getting the majority of said white keys.

  3. Orbs near entrance "02" fairly out of the way.

  4. Close enough proximity of the entrances to eachother in the overworld.

Reasons 1 and 2 specifically eliminate any potential advantage in unlocking the door connecting "12" and "18" over simply just going the backtracking route in the "1B" section. It is because of these reasons that this route hasn't changed since PJ's re-routing of it.

As for the 2 keys we do need, it was a matter of "Which one takes the least longest to get?". In that regard, we opt for the ones in "0D" and "0C".

"0D" should be a no-brainer. As for "0C", it takes the same amount of time to get the key as it would to get the ones in "09" and "0A" if timed from when I enter the rooms to when I exit them. So by taking other things into account including how much the rooms themselves deviate from the actual route, "0C" comes out on top as a small part of "0C" is still unavoidably part of the route. Not the case for "09" and "0A".
