tefumity you can mix rta and igt, just click the "In-game timer" checkbox
Just did a run
please please please make the default category NG+ that was horrible
lost at least 20 minutes, probably more just resetting after it became impossible to unlock levels
It's a good idea (the leaderboards, not actually running the category...)
Maybe even make NG+ the default so levels don't have to be unlocked?
And would the run use RTA or IGT?
If you're confused about terminology, it's worth finding a stream of a popular runner on Twitch and asking questions, they might be able to help out directly.

Edit: did I really spell speedrunning with one n
Another thing to consider is helping form a community for a game that doesn't have one. Although you'll need to find the right people, you might just bring life to a new speedgame. It's something I'm doing for my first and only game I run, and even though I've only gotten one more person to pick up speedrunning, it's fun to collaborate.
I'm a new runner, but I've been trying to get more people to speedrun Gunpoint. It's a fun, movement-based puzzle-platformer, where you play as a spy, and Any% runs go under ten minutes. It seems its popularity dropped off years ago.
Emulators can also have a tiny bit of input delay, which can impact movement and tough tricks.
New runners, now's your chance.
ILs are RTA for now.
Requesting to be a moderator for Gunpoint. My attempts at contacting the only moderator with an active presence on Twitter failed (they were last on speedrun.com three months ago), and the other moderators are fully inactive. There were also demands to add new categories on the forum, which never happened, presumably to moderator inactivity.
I, erm, probably should have made this post before I got WR in Gunpoint Any% 2.0... (oh well, mods are inactive, it's fine)
Anyway, hello! I'm Quivico, just an amateur speedrunner. After falling in love with speedrunning streams, I decided to try it out, and here I am. Hopefully I'll learn to play more than one game.
