Back in SGDQ 2016, there was a run of SM64DS 50 Star, a very unusual category, as it only requires a skip for the "Endless Stairs" (Category can be found at http://www.speedrun.com/sm64ds#50_Star )

being as the BLJ was originally exploited just for this, why not pay omage to it here, and make it a category, where only BLJ is allowed for that specific portion? I think it would be a neat little category, and I'm also partly interested in how it'd be routed.

What do you guys think, Would you run it, if it became a thing?

Also they insist on leaving an empty 149 star category when there has never been a run, it is a practice category, and the star they leave out has a new trick to make it less RNG based. Lock this thread.

i remember domdunc saying that when the blj was found they only used it for the endless stairs first and after 2 days it was discovered you can do it to skip the 50 star door as well. so 50 star was the any% category for this game for 2 days lol. i thought about routing this sometime for fun. making it an official category or any big issue wouldn't make sense though i think.
