What determines how any active runners a game has?

I just approved 3 runs for Pokemon Quest today and I don't see us on the list of IOS games with active runners.

Does this take time to update?

The runs were only individual level but I remember at the height of the game's popularity I saw it at 40+ active runners.

It may be because you have the unofficial releases off.

There are 2 different counters for active runners.

  • For the counter in the statistic page of the game, I explained it in this thread: https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/eg2ma/1#x3e7z (TL;DR: Runners have a "score" between 0 to 1 that represents when was their last run in the last 50 days. The counter sums all those scores and then rounds it up)

  • For the counter in the games page, it counts how many players have submitted full game runs in the last 50 days.

With this logic, your game on the games page have 0 active runners.

Oh wow 50 days, that's short. I think "Active Runners" is a strange name for "Number of recent leaderboard submissions".. but I'm sure this has come up before.
