I have a suggestion for a small speedrun category. Load up the Mr Freeze NG+ save available on the resources page, and begin the timer as soon as the cutscene ends and fight begins. The timer ends when the fight ends with Batman hallucinating Joker's face in the Freeze mask.

It would be fun to see how speedrunners fight to do the fight the fastest.

We generally put smaller/less significant categories on the Category Extensions board.

If people actually want to run this we certainly can add it over there. We usually only want to add categories that people actually run and have some semi-serious competition though, the point of the leaderboards isn't to list every possible variation of everything that someone might be interested in doing, the point is to track competition. So if there's no competition, there's generally no need for a leaderboard.

@ShickenNuggets I hope it would have a good competition, but seeing how it's something that is part of every speedrun, it may already be done the fastest. I think if it were to be an extension category, it should be fully glitchless, so people compete on how they use gadgets and how to adapt to freeze's position and movement for THAT run etc. I've noticed that sometimes freeze won't always follow your footsteps, even if there is steps near him that he COULD track, he may walk randomly searching for you or send his drones up. That and sometimes he may just stand and look around. It would be fun to see players quickly adapt to this on the fly, as to not lose time waiting for him to move.

I may have overexplained a little, but I think it would be cool to have it.

Unrestricted/with glitches is the default for everything. We certainly could also add Glitchless variations, or any other variation, but once again it comes down to how many people would actually run them, and how much competition there would be (we can add anything, but we can't add everything, know what I mean?) It's also worth noting that people can run the game however they want regardless of what the leaderboard rules are. All that said, you don't really need to use any glitches in the Freeze fight anyway, so in this particular case it doesn't really matter.

Anyway, until if/when people actually run this (and like, actually do unique runs, not just repost their Freeze gold from a regular run) then there's not much else to discuss here.

I agree with Alex_0111. I would defintely run this category if it existed.

People always say that and then never actually do it. Anyway, as I said in my last post there's nothing else to discuss here until if/when people actually start doing it.
