A compilation of observations and notes about each of the different versions of the game. This list is incomplete and will be updated to accommodate more differences should they be found.
NTSC
- Contextual event splash screens
- Resetting off-track places vehicle on the track
- Available on Steam, including most PAL languages
PAL/JP
- Randomized splash screens (there are 5, which are variants of the normal splash screens of Rustbucket Race-o-Rama, Motor Speedway of the South, Smasherville International Speedway, Ornament Valley GP, and Tailfin Pass GP with English text removed)
- Resetting off-track places vehicle in midair rather than on the track
- Not available on Steam
Since the game is locked at 30FPS, there are no differences in regards to NTSC vs PAL TV refresh rate.
The End of Glitchless
Effective July 1st, all Glitchless categories for Cars will officially be removed from the leaderboards. The rules were deemed too subjective and arbitrary for fair rulings, clarity, and good competition, and compromises would either not solve these issues or create a redundant or inferior category.
